InventoryPath Rep Desk

Controlled wholesale proposals for sales reps

Let reps build the order. You approve the draft.

Give reps access to assigned buyers and permitted products. They submit proposals; your team reviews Shopify's current totals and approves the draft. Keep attributable commissions and recorded settlements visible for review.

Before you get started

Does a rep proposal create a paid order?

No. An authorised merchant approves an unpaid draft. Shopify handles subsequent invoicing, payment and fulfillment. Uncertain creates remain held for reconciliation.

Does Rep Desk pay commissions or cover every order?

No. Settlements happen outside the app and are recorded for review. Attribution covers eligible orders completed from app-created drafts. The ledger has a rolling twelve-month retained event window, not lifetime accounting.

Detailed product information

Let your sales reps prepare wholesale orders. You approve every draft.

Rep Desk is for merchants who work with outside sales representatives. Give each rep access to assigned buyers, permitted products and merchant-controlled prices. The rep submits a proposal; an authorised merchant reviews the current Shopify calculation and explicitly approves creation of an unpaid draft.

Restricted proposals, explicit approval

  1. Assign buyers and products. Set up a rep and their permitted customer records, products and pricing policy.
  2. Invite the rep. The workflow uses a private email invitation and a one-use sign-in code. Reps do not receive Shopify staff access.
  3. Prepare a proposal. The rep selects an assigned buyer and permitted items. Buyer addresses and prices come from the merchant’s approved records and policy.
  4. Review and approve. The authorised merchant calculates with Shopify, reviews the current buyer, lines, shipping address and totals, then explicitly approves the draft.
  5. Review commissions. The ledger follows attributable orders completed from app-created drafts. Eligible fully paid net merchandise can earn commission; readable merchandise refunds can reverse it. Merchants record settlements made outside the app.

Shopify handles subsequent invoicing, payment and fulfillment. Rep Desk does not send buyer invoices, collect funds or pay reps.

A ledger for review

Commission figures are an aid to the merchant’s own records. Net merchandise excludes shipping and tax, and refund adjustments can change the outstanding balance after a settlement. Owner-entered payment assertions, adjustments and opening balances must be reviewed as merchant-supplied information.

Automatic commission requires a tax-exclusive, unedited order in the retained ledger currency, with readable merchandise-refund evidence. Tax-inclusive orders, edits, changed currencies or incomplete refund evidence are held for owner review, retaining the last recognised figure. Cancellation alone does not prove a refund after payment.

Balances cover a rolling twelve-month retained event window. Earnings, reversals, settlements, adjustments and opening entries expire without automatic balance carry-forward. Export records before expiry; this is not lifetime accounting.

The first release is limited to customer-record mode and orders completed from app-created drafts. Native company or catalog pricing, automatic approvals, rep payouts and attribution of unrelated native orders are outside this release. Older or inaccessible order evidence can leave history stale or unresolved; the ledger is not a promise of complete historical accounting.

When a creation outcome is uncertain

A lost Shopify response can mean that a draft exists without confirmation. Ambiguous creates are never automatically retried. Unresolved, possibly dispatched attempts remain held for operator reconciliation beyond the normal 90-day proposal retention. Inspect Shopify drafts before taking a manual action. Do not assume a timeout means nothing was created or that the app can prevent duplicates created outside its workflow.

Shopify plan

The saved Shopify plan is USD 79 per thirty days with a seven-day trial. It includes twenty active reps, 500 draft creations and 10,000 newly attributed orders per Shopify billing cycle, plus 5,000 indexed buyers.

The v1 catalog ceiling is 2,000 indexed variants.

There are no automatic overage charges. Eligible development-store tests are free and are not a free merchant plan. Shopify’s saved plan and confirmation screen govern actual charges, trial eligibility and taxes. App Store approval and public availability remain pending.

Optional merchant setup tips

Optional setup tips are available. The guide works without email enrollment. Only the authenticated store owner can opt in, and the chosen help inbox must be verified.

Setup and optional tips inside the Shopify app provides a guide based on your store’s recorded progress, without requiring email enrollment. The store owner may separately choose and verify a merchant help inbox to request up to four tips for this app over fourteen days. Staff can use the guide without subscribing. Contacts are not imported automatically, and product invitations do not enroll their recipients.

Tips come from Inventory App at [email protected] through Brevo. The shared service has daily and weekly portfolio limits, app-specific and stop-all preferences, and separate provider unsubscribe controls. Read the setup-tip guide and processing and retention details. Product support remains [email protected].
