Set up InventoryPath Price Scheduler

Price Scheduler is available on the Shopify App Store. This guide explains the embedded app workflow. See the product page for plan details.

Open the app and prepare a campaign

Install from the Shopify listing, then open Shopify Admin > Apps > InventoryPath Price Scheduler. Product-edit permission is required.

Prepare a named campaign. Select variants or a collection, download the CSV template and upload or paste exact targets, or choose a percentage or fixed reduction. Review every captured original and target price pair. CSV rows determine the imported selection; use one CSV source only.

Choose whether compare-at values remain unchanged, use the captured original price, receive an explicit value, or are cleared. The app works in the default shop currency; fixed Markets or B2B prices and checkout discounts can behave differently.

Choose a schedule

Enter an IANA timezone and a future start and end. Start at least ten minutes ahead. Campaign duration must be thirty minutes to thirty days, with a start within ninety days.

Repeated daylight-saving times require choosing their UTC offset. Nonexistent local times are rejected.

Review and approve

Approve the frozen preview after acknowledging execution and restoration limits. The app checks the Shopify plan, available capacity, current prices and overlapping reservations. Allow a ten-minute cleanup gap between campaigns on the same variants.

Changes run in stages rather than all at once. Avoid overlapping price editors and other price apps. Outside edits during an API request can race with a scheduled change because Shopify does not provide an atomic compare-and-swap for these price fields.

Monitor campaign progress

Approved campaigns run on the server after the browser closes. Refresh progress to see pending, applied, restored, conflicting, deleted and skipped rows.

Sales that cannot begin within the five-minute start window are skipped. Partial starts beyond that deadline are compensated where safe.

Stop and restore

Use Stop and restore to cancel an unstarted sale or end a started sale early. The app restores confirmed changes where live prices still match its applied values. Merchant-edited rows are flagged rather than forced back to an older value. Unknown request outcomes hold further writes until reviewed.

Where only known conflicts remain, inspect fresh live prices and explicitly accept them without the app overwriting prices. Unknown requests cannot be closed through that screen.

Billing and recovery references

Billing and usage opens Shopify’s hosted plan page and refreshes authoritative subscription status. An unverified plan pauses new starts. Restoration remains independent of subscription eligibility while Shopify product access remains available.

Download the recovery reference for unresolved history and contact support. It distinguishes absent compare-at values from numeric values. Review live Shopify prices and request history before making manual corrections; the file is a historical reference, not an instruction to overwrite current prices.

Optional operational email

The store owner opens Operational email, approves a recipient, requests a six-digit code and verifies it. Delivery status distinguishes accepted, rejected and unknown. Acceptance does not prove inbox arrival. An uncertain SMTP attempt is held without automatic resend; email failure does not pause eligible restoration. Owners can disable email on the same screen.

Optional setup emails

The in-app setup guide walks you through connecting your store, preparing a small sale, reviewing the exact prices and checking its result. You can use the full app without subscribing to email tips.

The store owner can choose a merchant help inbox, agree to setup tips and verify that inbox with a one-time code. We do not automatically subscribe staff, customers or addresses from your Shopify store. Sender and Reply-To are Inventory App at [email protected], with delivery through Brevo.

The sequence offers up to four help messages over fourteen days, often fewer depending on your progress. Within Price Scheduler, it sends at most one message per rolling 24 hours and three per rolling seven days, between 09:00 and 17:00 in the selected store’s time zone. Preparing a future sale counts as progress; live price changes are not required to complete setup. Unresolved price recovery pauses tips. These help emails do not approve a sale, change prices or authorise billing.

Use Help and setup tips in Shopify or the app-specific stop link in a help email to stop this sequence. Opening that link shows a confirmation; confirm to stop, or use a supported one-click email-client action. A message already being sent may still arrive. Stopping tips does not cancel billing or operational campaign notices. Reinstalling does not restart a stopped or completed sequence for the same inbox.

Brevo’s separately labelled provider unsubscribe can also block other marketing from the same provider account. Use the app-specific control to stop only Price Scheduler tips. The privacy notice explains Brevo’s recipient, delivery/open/click processing and the app’s cleanup boundaries. For optional-help questions, contact [email protected].

Shared portfolio controls

Price Scheduler’s optional setup emails now use the shared InventoryPath sending limits and stop-all controls below.

Education across InventoryPath apps is capped at one message per rolling 24 hours and three per rolling seven days to the same verified inbox. Price Scheduler still offers up to four setup emails over fourteen days. These are maximums, not a delivery promise. Requested verification and security messages have a separate purpose.

The owner can stop only Price Scheduler tips or all InventoryPath app setup tips for that verified help inbox. Brevo’s separate unsubscribe and account-wide suppression take priority. Installing an app or having an already verified operational recipient does not automatically enroll an inbox.

A previously accepted or uncertain send continues to consume frequency capacity and is not automatically resent. During recovery, current independent withdrawal and dispatch evidence must be retained; restored optional preferences remain held until reconciled. The privacy notice explains the minimal shared data.

Before uninstalling

Restore active sales before uninstalling. Once Shopify revokes product access, automatic restoration is unavailable and remaining prices must be reviewed in Shopify.
